1.3 MW PV plant was commissioned at Syrdarya thermal power plant, the press service of the Ministry of Energy said in a statement.
It will generate an additional 2.3 million kWh of electricity, which will save 750,000 cubic meters of natural gas annually and help reduce the emission of harmful gases into the atmosphere.
Reportedly, the plant is now generating an average of 800 kWh of electricity, depending on solar radiation.
