JSC "Uzeltehsanoat" intends to localize 20 new kinds of products

Tashkent saw a press-conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the creation of the electrical industry of Uzbekistan, achievements over the years of independence and plans for the future.

Joint Stock Company "Uzeltehsanoat" brings together more than 50 companies engaged in three production areas: cabling and wiring products, electrical products and electrical goods.

More than 120 investment projects have been implemented over the past few years in cooperation with such world famous brands as Samsung, LG (Korea), Shivaki (Japan), Haier and Midea (China), Motorola (USA), Odul (Turkey).

The geography of exports has increased considerably.

Speaking about 2016, the speakers pointed out that last year alone the production volume of the company reached 1.5 trillion soums. Over $80 million of investments were utilised under 21 projects.

The head of marketing, export development and optimization of import at JSC "Uzeltehsanoat" Bekzod Isamiddinov in his interview to IA “Jahon” said:

- The adoption of the presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures for further improvement of governance, accelerated development and diversification of the electrical industry in 2017 - 2021" has become an important step for the further development and improvement of the electrical industry.

The document envisages implementation of a uniform technical and technological policy in the sector, a comprehensive introduction of advanced energy efficient and resource-saving technologies at electrotechnical enterprises engaged in the production of modern electrical products. It is also planned to attract foreign direct investments for the development of high-tech industries producing electrical equipment, modernization, technical and technological re-equipment of the industry.

In particular, it is planned to introduce a number of customs and tax privileges for newly established enterprises-manufacturers of electrical goods, to increase the production volumes at least three-fold, to increase exports by twice, as well as to implement 100 investment projects worth $475,8 million throughout the country.

We intend to localize 20 new kinds of products.
