Senate discusses issues of enhancing country's export potential
Today our country provides comprehensive support to small businesses and private entrepreneurs, in particular to entities engaged in the production of export-oriented and import-substituting products. Legal framework and perspectives of this support were discussed during a workshop held in the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Today our country provides comprehensive support to small businesses and private entrepreneurs, in particular to entities engaged in the production of export-oriented and import-substituting products. Legal framework and perspectives of this support were discussed during a workshop held in the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The participants noted the huge role of the development of marketing strategy, the establishment of production of new competitive products, diversification of export geography, intensification of industrial activities, promotion of local brands and others. They said the number of small business entities and private entrepreneurs engaged in export activities compared with last year increased by 504, the volume of exports increased by almost $120 million.
Relevant ministries and agencies, business entities voiced problems within obtaining process of appropriate certificates to export products, the introduction of international standards, application of customs, tax incentives, transportation of export cargoes. They also made a number of proposals and suggestions for their solution.
