Uzbekistan imports more mandarins
Recently, you can see many varieties of citrus fruits, especially mandarin, in markets and stalls. According to the Statistics agency, in 2022, Uzbekistan imported mandarins worth 15.8 million US dollars from 12 foreign countries. Its volume was equal to 63.6 thousand tons.
Compared to 2021, mandarin imports have increased by 28,300 tons.
In 2022, Uzbekistan imported the most mandarins from Pakistan. 51,100 tons of tangerines were imported from this country to Uzbek markets. Pakistani tangerines have become a favorite product of the population. This is because of sweet taste and affordable price.
Also, 5.8 thousand tons of tangerines were exported from China, 4.3 thousand tons from Turkey, 778 tons from Iran and 442.2 tons from Egypt.
