Uzbek Foreign Minister inks cooperation program with his Turkment counterpart

Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov met with his Turkmen counterpart Rashid Meredov on February 17.
The officials discussed the state and prospects for further activation of Uzbek-Turkmen relations in political, trade and economic, transport and communication, water management, cultural and humanitarian and other areas.
The issues of interaction within the framework of international and regional organizations were considered.

Uzbek minister invited the Turkmen side to the high-level international conference " Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and opportunities", which is to be held this year in Tashkent.
The parties also signed a cooperation program for 2021-2022.
Uzbek minister, as part of his three-day working trip across Central Asian states, will also visit Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
