Labor Ministry launches large-scale labor market survey
The data obtained will help to generate reliable information about the state of the labor market in Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of employment and labor relations has launched a large-scale survey of the labor market in Uzbekistan.
The survey is conducted by house-based interviewers and covers all regions of the Republic. The purpose of the survey is to obtain reliable information on two indicators:
- real share of informal employment in Uzbekistan;
- real percentage of unemployed among the working population.
The data obtained will help to generate reliable information about the state of the labor market in Uzbekistan. The works are carried out in 3 stages, the first stage covers 3100 households in 63 districts of the Republic and is to be completed on August 20. A total of 9,000 households will participate in the survey.
