National Geographic is coming soon to Uzbekistan
The online meeting discussed four potential projects to be implemented within two years. The implementation plan is divided into two stages and the first stage will commence in the spring of 2021 with the filming of documentaries. It will be available for the public at the end of the year.
According to the press release of the State Tourism Committee, National Geographic is planning to make 4 documentaries highlighting potentials of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the tourism sector.
The negotiations were held between a group of experts from the State Committee for Tourism Development and the head of the Canadian National Geographic TV channel Katerina Salt as well as the director of the channel for cooperation in the field of tourism Nitu Kamboy.

The second stage will be implemented through publishing materials on Uzbekistan's tourism potential either on TVs, newspapers as well as on National Geographic's Social media websites. The main purpose of the project is to place Uzbekistan among the tourist countries like the US, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Poland, Mexico and Norway.
