Sharaf Rashidov`s monument opens in Jizzakh

Presidential Decree "On celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding statesman and writer Sharaf Rashidov" dated March 27 this year has instructed to build a memorial complex and a monument to Sharof Rashidov in the city of Jizzakh.

The opening ceremony of this monument took place in the framework of the 100th anniversary of birth of the great statesmen.

The event saw members of the Senate, deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, members of the government, representatives of state and public organizations, veterans of work, workers of literature and art, residents of the area, representatives of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and Tashkent city, foreign guests.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his address spoke about the great merits of Sharaf Rashidov in the interests of our people.

He noted that Sharaf Rashidov was a representative of the common people, who with his insight, intelligence, hard work and humility had earned great respect and authority, faithfully and honestly served the people.

Sharaf Rashidov united people in the name of great goals. This noble, wise and generous man, despite challenges and difficulties, had always been committed to high humanistic ideas, left a good name in the memory of our people.

Sharaf Rashidov, in spite of many important tasks entrusted to him, remained loyal to the literature, he loved it with all his being. Thanks to the unique talent, he created novels and stories, poems, journalistic articles, glorifying the noble values, said the President of our country.

The President and the daughter of Sharaf Rashidov Sayyora Rashidova opened the monument to Sharaf Rashidov.
