President Shavkat Mirziyoyev: “Our people's courage led to victory”
Victory Park, established on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, reflects the country's losses during World War II. The park was festively decorated for the Memorial Day, and representatives from various ministries and departments of the Armed Forces were present. President of Uzbekistan and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the park.
A military orchestra performed a memorial melody, and the President laid a wreath at the memorial.
This monument honors Zulfiya Zakirova, a brave mother who lost her five sons in World War II, along with her devoted daughters-in-law and orphaned grandchildren.
Members of the Senate and Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, officials from ministries and the Armed Forces, as well as members of the public, also laid flowers at the memorial.
