ICTWEEK 2024: On the path from 5G innovation to 5.5G speeds

ICTWEEK 2024 is one of the key events in the ICT sector of Uzbekistan taking place in the CAEx exhibition center. On an annual basis, Huawei participates in the main events of the “week”, including the ICT EXPO 2024 exhibition. This year for the first time the Company also holds a large-scale educational summit “Huawei ICT Talent Summit”. On September 18, representatives from government, international organizations, higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan, Huawei and ICT students will discuss the transformation of digital talent to promote an intelligent future. 

At the opening ceremony Chen Jiakai, CEO of Huawei Uzbekistan, in his welcome speech noted that ICTWEEK Uzbekistan is a significant platform for the demonstration of technological innovations for industry specialists and society not only on the local level but also at the international level. "We saw the first steps of 5G in Uzbekistan 5 years ago at ICTWEEK 2019. And thanks to our joint efforts with local carriers, 5G networks have been successfully developing in the country since 2021. Today, the digital infrastructure as solid foundation has been laid for the further evolutions of networks to 5.5G, where the industry will be able to integrate network, cloud and AI for new users’ and vertical industries’ experiences. From our side, we will continue to promote the country's digital transformation through innovations, following the “Digital Uzbekistan 2030” strategy and supporting the cultivation of ICT talents."

Experts of Intelligent Service Solutions will demonstrate the Huawei Mobile Money - an application with a set of necessary tools for Building one Super APP for simple and reliable financial management.
