In March, the average cost of housing in the secondary market increased by 0.5% in Uzbekistan, the Center for Economic Research and Reforms reports.
The year-on-year price increase totaled 14.1%. Housing prices increased most strongly over the year in Bukhara, Tashkent and Khorezm regions, where prices rose by an average of a quarter.
Average prices for secondary housing in Tashkent for a month rose by 0.2% and was $ 1142 per square meter. The highest growth was recorded in Bektemir, Almazar and Sergeli districts. Compared to March last year, secondary housing in the capital rose in price by 14%.
The activity in the real estate market of Uzbekistan last month strongly decreased. Last month about 17.8 thousand contracts of sale and purchase of housing were executed, which is 20% less than in February.
The average rental price in March decreased by 2.2% to $8.6 per square meter. Decrease in cost was observed in all districts of the capital, and in Yashnabad, Mirabad and Yakkasaray districts - more than 10%.
