Uzbekinvest to reorganize into joint-stock company

The bill of the Cabinet of Ministers set to reorganize the National Export-Import Insurance Company Uzbekinvest into a joint stock company.
It is proposed to transfer the rights of the shareholder on the state blocks of shares in the company to the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade.
The document also provides for obtaining a license for reinsurance activities by a subsidiary of the company in the UK "Uzbekinvest international".
It is planned that the company will provide insurance protection to exporters in the amount of not less than $600 million from 2019, $1 billion from 2020 and $1.6 billion from 2021.
The insurance reserve of the company will be formed at the level of not less than 10% of the equity, including: in 2019 – 20 billion soums, in 2020 – 15 billion soums, in 2021 and subsequent years – 20 billion soums.
