International Event in Tashkent Highlights Green Development and Climate Action
The international event "Green Development: Experience of New Uzbekistan and World Trends" took place in Tashkent as part of the week of international cooperation initiatives focused on the theme of "New Uzbekistan: development, innovation, and progress."
Foreign experts addressed various pressing topics, such as environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, expansion of protected areas, sustainable use of natural resources, and collaboration for green recovery and climate action. They also discussed subjects like food systems, land use, ecosystem restoration, sustainable forest management in mountainous and valley areas of Uzbekistan, and strengthening the nature protection system in Central Asia to combat zoonotic diseases.
Additionally, opinions were expressed regarding the implementation of the project "Green Central Asia: Transboundary Dialogue on Climate, Environment, and Security Issues in Central Asia and Afghanistan."
