President receives Chairwoman of Council of Republic of Belarus
As part of the program of the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, Natalya Kochanova.
At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the Belarusian delegation conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from President Alexander Lukashenko to the leader of Uzbekistan.
The parties discussed the prospects for further expanding the multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the dynamic growth in mutual trade, the successful implementation of joint projects in industry and agriculture, fruitful cooperation between regions, and the active exchange in the fields of culture, education, and healthcare.
The importance of continuing intensive inter-parliamentary dialogue was emphasized, particularly in ensuring parliamentary oversight and facilitating the timely implementation of high-level agreements.
