Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur was born on February 14, 1483 in Andijan, the son of the king of Ferghana, great-grandson of Amir Timur.

In his works, especially in poetry, he longs for his homeland. The great poet is the author of 119 ghazals, 209 rubai and many other works.
Besides writing many works during his life, he contributed to the conquest of India during the period 1519-1525. Historical sources state that the governors of Punjab who were dissatisfied with the policies of Ibrahim Sultan, the ruler of Delhi, also appealed to Babur during Babur's campaign in India and this victory at the Battle of Sikri gave Babur the opportunity to finally establish his reign in India and establish the Baburid dynasty.
