In a conversation with the Secretary General of the World Sufi Center, Abdul Karim bin Saeed Hadaid, the issues of promoting the possibilities of the pilgrimage tourism in Uzbekistan and increasing the flow of Malaysian pilgrims to the republic were discussed in detail.
As a result of the negotiations, participation in the "Pilgrimage Tourism Week" held in Uzbekistan in early November of this year, preparation for holding the III "Naqshbandiya" tourism festival in Bukhara at the beginning of 2023, in the cities of Bukhara, Samarkand, Tashkent and Termiz Agreements were reached to cooperate in attracting tourists from Malaysia to visit the shrines.

For information, Naqshbandiya is a Sufi order named after Bahauddin Naqshband (1318-1389), one of the scholars who lived in Bukhara and played an important role in the development of Islam. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia and China are the main centres of supporters of Naqshbandi doctrine. There are more than 60 million followers of this doctrine in the world. The number of representatives of this sect in Malaysia is 250 thousand people.
