Newly established fund to aid children with cancer and blood diseases

Based on the presidential decision, a fund was established to support the recovery of children suffering from oncological and hematological diseases. Sick children continuously receive the necessary medicines and medical supplies. By 2030, the survival rate of children with oncological diseases is expected to rise by 60%.

As a result, the Center of Children's Hematology, Oncology, and Clinical Immunology was renamed to the Children's Oncology, Hematology, and Immunology Scientific-Practical Medicine Center. The fund was opened under this center.

The development of hematopoietic stem cells and bone marrow cell transplantation is a priority in the field of children's hematology, oncology, and clinical immunology. Starting July 1, 2024, patients aged 18 to 21 with oncological, hematological, and immunological diseases will continue to receive free treatment in pediatric hematology and oncology departments of designated medical centers, as well as in other medical organizations that have been providing their care until they reach adulthood.
