Over 300 Uzbeks Convicted of Sexual Harassment

In the first quarter of 2024, 318 citizens of Uzbekistan were prosecuted for sexual harassment, the press service of the Supreme Court reported.
According to the body, under Article 41-1 (sexual harassment) of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, 97 citizens were fined and 221 were arrested.
In addition, under Article 141-3 (disclosure of information that violates the honor and dignity of a person and reflects the intimate aspects of human life) of the Criminal Code, 40 people were convicted. Of these, 13 were sentenced to imprisonment and 27 to non-custodial penalties.
