Russia and Uzbekistan agree to increase weekly number of flights
“In order to develop better air traffic between Russia and Uzbekistan, the aviation authorities have agreed to increase the frequency of flights on the Moscow-Tashkent route from 25 to 39 flights per week,” the Russian aviation agency, Rosaviatsiya reports.
From the Russian side, flights will be operated by Aeroflot, S7 Airlines and Utair, whereas Uzbekistan will increase Uzbekistan Airways and Qanot Sharq airline companies' flights.
“The increase in the number of regular flights between the capitals of the two countries will have a positive impact on the further development of bilateral cooperation and meeting the demand of passengers for transportation between Russia and Uzbekistan,” the press service of the department stressed.
At the same time, the number of designated Russian airlines may be increased after the distribution of new 14 frequencies based on the applications of Russian airlines in accordance with the Procedure for the admission of carriers to carry out international air transportation of passengers or cargo.
