Tashkent region constructs over 170 apartment buildings
As of January 1, 79.9% of the total population in Tashkent Region had access to centralized drinking water. This was announced during a press conference in Nurafshon. The event focused on construction and public utilities in the region, as well as plans set for 2025.
According to Head of the Construction Affairs Secretariat of the Tashkent Regional Administration, Elmurod Polatov, over 310.76 km of power transmission lines were reconstructed, and 78 transformer stations were installed in the region last year. To ensure an uninterrupted power supply in 22 districts and cities, rapid response teams were placed on a 24-hour work schedule. Additionally, for the stable operation of the 2024-2025 autumn-winter seasons, 186 repair brigades comprising 633 specialists were formed. The press conference also covered developments in road infrastructure and gas supply.
Tashkent Region Water Supply oversees 827 water facilities, 123 of which require repairs. The company’s pump units produce an average of 400,000–500,000 cubic meters of drinking water daily. To improve water supply, 1,311 meters of drinking water pipelines were laid, and 50 water facilities were constructed last year. A total of 664 billion soums were allocated for these projects.
Additionally, in 2024, 186 schools in Tashkent Region were renovated, with 452 billion soums allocated from the state budget. Furthermore, to improve housing availability, the construction of 171 multi-apartment buildings is planned for this year.
