According to Durov, the total monthly number of views of public channels in the messenger reached 1 trillion. However, only 10% of them are monetized through the Telegram advertising system. He noted that in March, the "Telegram" advertising platform will be officially opened for all advertisers in about 100 new countries.
Channel owners in these countries will begin receiving 50% of any revenue Telegram receives from advertising on their channels. All calculations are made in the cryptocurrency "Toncoin" through the TON blockchain platform. According to Durov, this ensures the speed and security of transactions, and also allows authors to freely invest their earnings in the development and promotion of their channels.
