An Uzbek-Tajik Friendship House has opened its doors in the Rishtan district of the Ferghana region.
During the opening ceremony, poems by Alisher Navoi and Abdurrahman Jami were recited as a model of friendship between the Uzbek and Tajik peoples, united by religion, similar culture, traditions and customs.
Mayor of the Ferghana region Shukhrat Ganiev said that the house will become a center of spirituality, where cultural evenings, poetry readings and educational conversations will be held.
