The Boeing 767 aircraft delivered 227 passengers to Milan-Malpensa Airport.
On the occasion of the launch of the first flight at Urgench International Airport, a solemn event was held to the songs of the famous artist Sevara Nazarkhan.
It is noteworthy that Uzbekistan Airways operated its first flight to Italy on the route Tashkent-Rome-Tashkent in 2000. In addition, in 2007, the first flight was carried out in the direction of Tashkent - Milan - Tashkent. However, in 2019, the airline suspended flights with a number of countries, including Italy, due to the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus infection.
The opening of new directions from Uzbekistan to the cities of Italy will serve to strengthen foreign economic, cultural and humanitarian relations and further develop the tourism sector. The restoration of flights to such cities as Milan, Rome, Paris will provide an opportunity to bring cultures together, as well as strengthen friendly ties between countries. Today, large-scale work is being carried out in the republic to develop tourism in the country. Creating conditions for safe tourism is one of the priority tasks set by our government.
