The Ministry of Transport in Uzbekistan will receive a loan of $180 million from the China Development Bank. The loan will be used to upgrade the urban transport system in the country.
Under the government's investment program, the Ministry of Transport will use $120 million from an international financial organization to purchase 1,000 natural gas-powered buses for Nukus and other regional centers.
An additional $60 million will be used to modernize the fleet of "Toshshahartransxizmat" by acquiring 200 electric buses and necessary charging equipment.
