Uzbekistan to boost in agricultural measures and phytosanitary control

In 2024, phytosanitary permits were obtained for the export of 10 products to 4 countries. In 2023, 23 types of products were exported to 12 countries with phytosanitary permits. To increase soil humus, 3.8 million tons of compost were prepared for 760 thousand hectares. 33 soil agrochemical analysis laboratories were launched, and 1 million out of 19,351 land users were trained. Soil analysis was conducted on 40,000 hectares. 7 new information systems were introduced, and 40 directions were digitized.

The Central Phytosanitary Laboratory conducted 220,000 examinations of imported products, identifying 21 types of quarantine objects in 1,470 cases. Damaged products totaling 773 tons and 16 thousand pieces were returned, while 4.5 tons and 405 thousand pieces were destroyed. Biolaboratories were established in regions, increasing to 639 by 2023, along with 953 plant clinics. This created over 10,100 jobs in the private sector.
