At the recent plenary session of the Senate of Oliy Majlis, the deputy chairman of Uzsuvtaminot, announced that Uzbekistan may face severe water shortage problems and that this issue needs to be addressed as soon as possible. During the session, he said the following:
"Water shortages are becoming a major topic of discussion for Uzbekistan. Lack of precipitation and abnormal heat lead to the depletion of water reserves," says Tohir Haydarov.
