Uzbek athlete breaks Uzbekistan's record after 38 years

Anvar Anvarov, a member of the Uzbekistan national team, achieved a decent result at the athletics tournament "Atletica Geneve - EAP" organized in Geneva, Switzerland.

He set a new Uzbek record in the long jump program of the tournament. This record has been unchanged since 1985. Anvarov achieved a result of 8.22 meters in this "bronze" competition, which was included in the calendar of the World Athletics Federation. This indicator awarded Anvarov, a student of the Bukhara Sports School, the gold medal of the competition.

In turn, the second and third places were awarded to members of the national team of Cuba and Hong Kong.
