Uzbekistan loses to Iran in futsal semi-finals

In the Asian Futsal Cup semi-finals, Uzbekistan was defeated by Iran in a penalty shootout. The match took place on Friday, April 26.

In the 4th minute, Odilov scored for Iran after their attack. In the 7th minute, Sunnatillo Jurayev equalized for Uzbekistan. In the 18th minute, Abror Ahmedzyanov made it 2-1 for Uzbekistan. The first half ended with Uzbek dominance.

In the 3rd minute of the second half, Abror Ahmedzyanov scored again, equalizing the score. Midway through the second half, a player from Uzbekistan was shown a red card and sent off. Iran capitalized on this, taking the lead 3-2 with Behruz Azimi's goal.

Abror Ahmedzyanov leveled the score again in the 35th minute. As no winner emerged in regular time, the match went to extra time. However, there were no further goals, leading to a penalty shootout.

Uzbekistan lost to Iran in the penalty shootout, with the final score being 4-5. As a result, Uzbekistan will compete for third place against Tajikistan.
