Mirziyoyev inspects $2.5mn textile enterprise in Andijan
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his trip to Andijan visited the And Gold sewing and knitting enterprise organised by the Sohib Omad Barakasi cluster.
The $2.5mn worth factory has an annual capacity to produce 3.5mn ready-made knitwear. The company plans to export the entire volume of products and receive $5mn in profit annually. Contracts have already been signed with China and Russia for the supply of yarn.
“I express my respect and love to you”, said Mirziyoyev as he talked to the staff of the company. “I am glad that you have found a job in your native village. Has there ever been such a modern enterprise in Izbaskan? We will continue this work and create all the conditions for our women. If a woman has a job and is in a good mood, her family will be happy" he added.
Upon reaching full capacity, the factory would create 1,200 jobs for local residents.
