More people become self-employed in Uzbekistan

A number of self-employed people increases in Uzbekistan. The figure has reached 2.5 million individuals. This rise is due to the legalization of certain types of jobs.

According to the Tax Committee, the legalization of these jobs led to more people paying income tax. Around 263,200 additional individuals have started paying income tax, bringing the total number of tax-paying citizens to 5.3 million. The increase in the number of taxpayers has also resulted in the collection of more personal income tax.
