Ohangaron to launch the largest microchip factory in Central Asia
Uzbekistan will start the production of SIM cards, ID cards, plastic cards, household appliances, and car microchips in cooperation with the German company "Infineon Technologies".
Mirziyod Yunusov, chairman of the "Uzeltexsanoat" association, announced this at the business forum in Berlin. Production is planned to start in the first quarter of 2024 in the Ohangaron district of the Tashkent region.
That is, digital technologies in Uzbekistan are a major project aimed at the gradual localization of microelectronic parts used in personal information exchange.
