Tashkent-3 airport resumes operation
Tashkent-3 airport will resume its operation starting from August 31, and flights will be operated according to the schedule, Uzbekistan Airways has reported. The airport has remained closed since August 19th. Domestic flights during this period were scheduled from the Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.
“We ask passengers to clarify data on domestic flights at the Airline’s Contact Center, at the airport information centers, as well as on Uzbekistan Airways social networks,” the airline said.
The Uzbek government had earlier provided its domestic terminal for evacuations from neighboring Afghanistan. The foreign ministry listed the countries that had evacuated their citizens through its territory.
