Uzbekistan has become a world leader in gold purchases. In April, the republic purchased 8.7 tons of gold bullions. This is reported by the World Gold Council.
Along with our country, the following states have significantly replenished their gold reserves:
- Turkey (5.6 tons);
- Kazakhstan (5.3 tons).
At the same time, the most active sellers of the precious metal were:
- Germany (0.9 tons);
- Mexico and the Czech Republic (0.1 tons each).
In total, in April, the world's Central Banks purchased 19.4 tons of gold.
