Uzbekistan identifies products subject to mandatory labeling

Uzbekistan has defined a list of products subject to mandatory digital labelling. The relevant resolution was adopted by the government.

According to the document, from January 1 next year, labelling will be mandatory for alcoholic beverages (except beer) and tobacco products.

From April 1, 2021, the requirement will also apply to beer.

At the next stage, labelling of medicines, medical devices, bottled water, soft drinks and household appliances will be introduced. 

Starting from March 2021, the import of unmarked alcohol and tobacco products to Uzbekistan will be prohibited.
