Uzbekistan Railways launches Tashkent-Dushanbe passenger train service
"Uzbekiston temir yullari" has announced the beginning of railway communication to Tajikistan. From June 20, passenger trains will start running between Tashkent and Dushanbe weekly.
This train will depart weekly from Dushanbe on Mondays and arrive in Tashkent on Tuesdays at 13:43.
Departure from Tashkent will be carried out weekly every Tuesday at 16:15 and arrive in Dushanbe every Wednesday.
The distance from Tashkent to Dushanbe by rail is 916 km. The train is on the way for 21 hours. Passenger train No. 301/302 consists of 10 cars: 4 compartments, 5 reserved seats and a restaurant car.
It is noted that it will be more profitable for passengers to purchase an e-ticket, since it does not include the ticket office fee.
"The cost of a ticket starts from 381,000 soums, taking into account discounts depending on the period of the sale," the ministry said.
