RusHydro and Uzbekgidroenergo also intend to develop cooperation in the field of construction, operation and technological development of other hydropower facilities in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
RusHydro and the State Hydrogenerating Company Uzbekgidroenergo signed an agreement on mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of hydropower development in Uzbekistan. The agreement was signed by Kirill Frolov, Deputy General Director of RusHydro for research and project activities, and Abdugani Sanginov, Chairman of the Board of JSC Uzbekgidroenergo.
The key point of the agreement is the creation of a joint working group on the basis of JSC "Institute Hydroproject" and JSC "Hydroproject", which in the first quarter of 2019 will begin to develop a feasibility study for the construction of the Mullalak HPP with a capacity of 240 MW and the Verkhnepsem HPP with a capacity of 200 MW on the Pskem river in Uzbekistan, including the implementation of design and research works.
RusHydro and Uzbekgidroenergo also intend to develop cooperation in the field of construction, operation and technological development of other hydropower facilities in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The parties expressed confidence that the intensification of such cooperation in the field of hydropower will contribute to the strengthening of trade and economic relations between Russia and Uzbekistan.
