China Development Bank issues more than 100 bln dollars to SCO members

The China Development Bank has issued a total of over 100 billion U.S. dollars in loans to members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), according to the council of SCO Interbank Consortium at its 14th meeting in Beijing on Wednesday.

Analysts said the loans have boosted regional financial and economic cooperation and provided mutual benefits.

The SCO Interbank Consortium was established in 2005 to set up a mechanism for funding and banking services for investment projects supported by SCO members. The China Development Bank is the presidency bank of the consortium through October.
