Shavkat Mirziyoyev inks Law on Central Bank in new edition
The law stipulates such issues as the legal status, powers, functions of the Central Bank, interaction with state bodies and other organizations.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Law "On the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan" in a new edition.
The law stipulates such issues as the legal status, powers, functions of the Central Bank, interaction with state bodies and other organizations.
The Law introduced a number of restrictive measures for employees of the Central Bank. That is, employees of the Central Bank are prohibited to:
- engage in any other paid activities, except for scientific and teaching activities;
- become a member of supervisory boards of banks, economic management bodies and economic entities;
- disclose or use in the interests of third parties information constituting bank secrecy, or other information, access to which is limited in accordance with the legislation, which became known to them in connection with the performance of their official duties.
