Government adopts measures for construction regulations alignment

The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision titled "On measures to harmonize construction regulations with international standards."

The Scientific Research Institute of Technical Regulation and Standardization under the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Economy has been assigned the responsibility for:

- Developing normative documents related to technical regulation in construction and housing and communal economy, aligning them with international requirements, and establishing a fund for them.

- Being designated as the authorized state institution for conducting scientific and research works, enhancing specialist training, testing and certifying construction products, and developing pricing mechanisms in construction.

The document also confirmed:

- A "road map" for further improving regulatory documents in construction and housing and communal economy.

- A list of regulatory documents in urban development activities to be improved from 2024 to 2026.

- The scheme for introducing the national classification of construction resources and creating an electronic price platform.

- The scheme for implementing a digital project management system for construction processes.

Additionally, the Research Institute of Technical Regulation and Standardization in the Construction Sector has been renamed as the Research Institute of Technical Regulation and Standardization.
