Hungary launches Uzbekistan embassy
On March 27th, the opening ceremony of the Uzbekistan embassy took place in Budapest, according to the Uzbekistan TIV press service.
The leader of Uzbekistan TIV, Bakhodir Saidov, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Peter Szijjarto, Minister of Economic Development, Marton Nad, and representatives from various social, political, and business sectors, and local officials from the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce attended the event.
Bakhodir Saidov emphasised that Uzbekistan pursues an open, pragmatic, and peaceful foreign policy, and is actively developing mutually beneficial relations with all countries, particularly expanding cooperation with Hungary.
Peter Szijjarto confirmed that opening the Uzbekistan embassy in Budapest is a positive development in the growing bilateral relations between the two countries. He also expressed confidence that the embassy will contribute to expanding and deepening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary.
This is the first time Uzbekistan has an embassy in Hungary.
