Senate discusses religious freedom and anti-corruption policies

The Senate Committee on Judicial and Legal Affairs and Anti-Corruption reviewed key legislative matters. The Concept aims to uphold constitutional rights, define state policy in the religious sector, and establish implementation mechanisms. The session began with discussions on the Law “On Approving the Concept of Ensuring Freedom of Conscience and State Policy in the Religious Sphere.”

Following discussions, the Committee adopted a relevant resolution on the law. Subsequently, an analysis of the “Transparency Index” evaluating the transparency of state agencies and organizations in 2023 by the Anti-Corruption Agency was presented.

Additionally, seminar held discussions about advantages that are granted to organizations ranking high in the Transparency Index.

This seminar will help strengthen the role of local Councils in ensuring corruption-free operations of state agencies and organizations in the regions. Additionally, the Senate will systematically provide methodological support to local Councils, further expanding cooperation in this direction in the future.
