Uzbek-French Forum Spurs Agreements in Pharma Localization
The Uzbek-French business forum in Samarkand resulted in beneficial agreements. The Minister of Health of Uzbekistan, Amrillo Inoyatov, and A. Azizov, the director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Network, engaged in talks with the chairman of the French company “Boehringer Ingelheim”. They agreed to explore localization opportunities for drug production in Uzbekistan, focusing on treating respiratory, cardiovascular, oncological diseases, thromboembolism, cerebrovascular disease, diabetes, hepatitis, and Parkinson's.
Additionally, Inoyatov discussed the purchase of 10 "Airbus N-145" medical helicopters from "Airbus Helicopters" to enhance the emergency medical system in Uzbekistan. The goal is to establish a medical aviation service meeting European standard, creating infrastructure, and training specialists for providing medical services in remote and mountainous regions. The discussions also touched on the future prospects for organizing aviation services.
Moreover, the minister explored opportunities for mutual cooperation with Jean Eduard, the chairman of "Gaz System," a company specializing in manufacturing medical oxygen generators and gas devices.
