A rare bird found in Samarkand

Umarbek Navrozov, a resident of "Polvonariq" neighbourhood, Jomboy district, Samarkand region, found a rare bird near his house.

According to the information of the regional information service, this citizen, who is not indifferent to nature, turned to experts because it did not look like a local bird.

It was found that this bird is the "Black-necked Grebe" bird, which is rare and included in the Red Book. This species lives in the western part of North America, in the temperate and subtropical latitudes of Eurasia, partly in Africa. Russian scientists have been studying the Grebe population for many years.

At the moment, this bird is under the control of district state inspectors and is undergoing a special medical examination. Soon it will be returned to nature.
