Empowering young women: New Uzbekistan’s Tomyrises contest

The Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs hosted the “New Uzbekistan’s Tomyrises” contest, bringing together female students and cadets from various institutions. The event aims to strengthen patriotism, national pride, and leadership among young women while providing a platform to showcase their talents. My colleague Sevil Radjapova has more on that.

The “New Uzbekistan’s Tomyrises” contest brought together female students and cadets from the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Public Security University, the Customs Institute, and the International Islamic Academy. As part of the President’s Five Important Initiatives, the event aimed to strengthen patriotism, support education, and inspire young women to become knowledgeable and courageous leaders of New Uzbekistan. The competition featured four teams:

  • “Tumor” – Customs Institute
  • “Jasorat Malikalari” (Queens of Courage) – Public Security University
  • “Neo Tomyris” – International Islamic Academy
  • “Bahor Gullari” (Spring Flowers) – Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The contest, filled with engaging stage performances, concluded with teams receiving special nominations. The cadets of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were awarded “The Most Resilient Team”, the cadets of the Public Security University earned “The Most Creative Team”, the cadets of the Customs Institute received “The Most Talented Team”, and students of the International Islamic Academy were recognized as “The Most Artistic Team.”
