Energy Ministry: Smart meters raise receipt of electricity bill to 99%
During the meeting with representatives of KT Corporation it was noted that during the implementation of the pilot project, the level of receipt of payment from consumers for the electricity used increased to 99%.
The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan held a working meeting with the South Korean KT Corporation, which is the main partner for the implementation of ASKUE system in the country.
The implementation of the pilot investment project "Introduction of an automated system of accounting and control of electricity consumption” had gradually begun in Samarkand and Bukhara regions.
At present, the assembly of modern “smart” metering devices of electricity consumption is underway in Tashkent.
During the meeting with representatives of KT Corporation it was noted that during the implementation of the pilot project, the level of receipt of payment from consumers for the electricity used increased to 99%.
The foreign side reported that following the implementation of the first and second stages of the system launch, the percentage of compatibility of metering devices of other manufacturers is 98%, in the near future it is planned to bring this figure to 100%.
