Uzbekistan Establishes Specialized Medical Center
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has adopted a decision to establish a new medical center dedicated to otorhinolaryngology and head and neck diseases. This center, known as the Republican Specialized Center of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Diseases, will serve as the core facility. Its activities will be organized on a hierarchical system comprising "center - regional medical institutions - district (city) medical institutions."
A key focus of the center's mission is to train medical personnel and promote research in the fields of otorhinolaryngology and head and neck diseases. The overall goal is to expand access to highly qualified specialized medical services for disadvantaged segments of the population. Furthermore, the decision emphasizes the importance of strengthening the material and technical infrastructure of state institutions involved in these areas.
