Uzbekistan to lift all entry and exit restrictions from October 1

Starting October 1, Uzbekistan intends to lift all restrictions on entry and exit by air, rail and road transport in compliance with quarantine standards and hygienic rules. All previously applied restrictions are abolished.

Persons arriving in Uzbekistan via borders from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan will be sent to a 14-day quarantine in hotels or at home after passing a PCR test for coronavirus, a rapid test or an antibody test.

The following rules are established for those entering Uzbekistan by air:

Persons who have been in the "green countries" in the last 14 days are allowed to enter the territory of Uzbekistan without restrictions. These countries include China, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, Georgia, Hungary, Finland, Latvia, Austria, and Japan.

Persons arriving from the "yellow countries" (Azerbaijan, Belarus, UAE and EU countries (except UK and Spain), as well as "red countries" (all other countries) are allowed on the territory of Uzbekistan only in the presence of a negative PCR test for coronavirus produced in the last 72 hours.

If the passenger did not pass the PCR test, or has symptoms of coronavirus, they must pass the test at the checkpoint at their own expense. After that, the passenger is allowed to enter the territory of Uzbekistan and is sent to self-isolation at home or in a hotel. At the same time, passengers fill out a form-a commitment to stay in 14-day quarantine in a hotel or at home.
