Uzbek chess players dominate Qatar masters open round 1
Eight chess players from Uzbekistan started the "Qatar Masters Open" international tournament with victories. The tournament, held in Qatar, has a prize pool of over $100,000. In the first round, players with a FIDE rating of more than 2300 points participated.
Uzbek chess players emerged victorious in the first round. The tournament, featuring 158 players from 31 countries, will continue until October 21, with 9 rounds in total.
Promising young players Bahrom Bahrillayev, Muhiddin Madaminov, and Abdumalik Abdusalimov secured 1 point each. Muhammadzahid Suyarov and Almas Rahmatullayev played to a draw.
In the second round, Nodirbek Abdusattarov will face Iran's Said Khalil Mousavi, Javahir Sindorov will compete against Kazakhstan's Kazibek Nagerbek, and Nodirbek Yaqubboyev will take on India's Shardul Gagare in black chess.
Muhiddin Madaminov, who won in the first round, will compete with Iran's Parkham Magsudlu, and Abdusalomov from Abduma will face India's Arujan Erigaisi. Bahrom Bahrillayev will compete with Pranav from India.
The tournament, featuring 158 players from 31 countries, will continue until October 21, with 9 rounds in total. The first-place winner will receive $25,000, the second-place winner will get $15,000, and the third-place winner will be awarded $10,000.
