Who will be flag bearers for Uzbekistan in XXXIII Paris Olympic games?
The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan has announced the flag bearers for the Uzbekistan national team at the Paris-2024 Summer Olympics. World boxing champion Abdumalik Khalokov and Hangzhou-2022 Asian Summer Games fencing gold and bronze medalist Zaynab Dayibekova will take this responsibility.
Abdumalik Khalokov, born in 2000 in Bukhara region, competes in the -57 kg weight category. He has been a member of the Uzbekistan national boxing team since 2018. In 2023, he competed in the -57 kg category at the World Championships in Tashkent and won gold. He was recognized as the best athlete of Uzbekistan in 2023 and is an honored athlete of Uzbekistan.
Zaynab Dayibekova, born in 2002 in Karakalpakstan, has been a member of the Uzbekistan national fencing team since 2016. The opening ceremony of the XXXIII Olympic Games in Paris will be held on July 26. The competitions will feature 32 sports and 329 sets of awards and will run until August 11.
