Uzbekistan to integrate new platform with Amazon, Tmall and Aliexpress
Uzbekistan is intending to launch National Platform Uzbekmart.com, which is to be integrated into Amazon, TMall, and Aliexpress, the Chairman of the Assembly of Economy of Uzbekistan Mukhtar Umarov said on June 7.
"There are such major digital trading platforms in the world as Amazon, TMall, IndiaMART, and Aliexpress. One of them is Alibaba, which Uzbekistan has recently officially joined. Unfortunately, the lack of experience of our entrepreneurs and the failure in the practice of digital export does not allow us to use these platforms properly. Therefore, it is planned to launch a National Digital Platform to solve the problem, " he said.
"Once we launch the Uzbekmart.com project, then we will be able to integrate it into major international digital platforms. As a result, the problems will be positively resolved and an online catalog of our national products will appear. The platform will work on the B2B principle. We will need decent personnel to run the system. A coworking center has been created at the Assembly, where we train future specialists, " Umarov added.
Active negotiations and work is currently under way with foreign companies in this direction.
